What You Don’t Know About Poker Is Costing You Big
I see this leak all the time: strong players losing money to mistakes they can’t yet see.

I hear this all the time from serious players: “I study, I play, I work hard — so why am I still stuck?” Most of the time, it’s not because they’re lazy. It’s because they’re leaking money in places they haven’t learned to diagnose yet.
In this breakdown, I explain the difference between running bad and playing bad — and why confusing those two can cost you months (or years) of progress. If your results feel inconsistent, this is the perspective shift you need.
The Hidden Leak Most Players Miss
Most players don’t have an information problem. They have a diagnosis problem. They consume strategy constantly, but they don’t isolate their recurring mistakes under real pressure.
That’s why “more content” often doesn’t fix anything. If you can’t identify your exact leak pattern, more studying just turns into noise.
Assassin Notes
- If you can’t see your leak clearly, you can’t fix it profitably.
- “Running bad” is often a story that hides bad decision habits.
- Precision feedback beats random strategy consumption every time.
Running Bad vs. Playing Bad
Variance is real. I never deny that. But variance is not an excuse to skip hard analysis. The right question is always: Was my decision +EV against a realistic range?
Short-term outcomes can lie. Decision quality does not. If you want to win long-term, you have to judge your game by process first, not by whether one pot went your way.

Why Good Players Stay Stuck
In my experience, ego is the blocker. It’s easier to blame luck than confront a repeating flaw. It’s easier to watch another strategy video than submit your own decisions for ruthless review.
But if your goal is profit — not emotional comfort — you need clarity. You need a system that exposes what your instincts are currently missing.
How I Recommend You Fix This
🧠 Step 1: Get Direct Feedback on Your Actual Game
Free 60-Min Coaching Session (Telegram): Message me “free coaching session” + your name + one hand you want reviewed. I’ll help you identify what to fix first.
🎯 Step 2: Build a Repeatable Decision Process
Your objective: stop reacting emotionally in big spots and start making decisions you can defend with logic, math, and structure.
📈 Step 3: Track Patterns, Not Just Outcomes
Post-session rule: after each session, identify your recurring leak category and attack it directly in your next study block.
Final Word
You don’t need more random poker advice. You need accurate diagnosis and disciplined correction. The money you’re losing is often hidden inside subtle, repeated decisions that still feel “normal.”
